THE RAY OF HOPE
Help to save kids
They need you
February 15th is The International Childhood Cancer Day. It is not a holiday; it is a very sad day, which causes special fear and trembling. It is a day for hope and reason to attract attention to the problems of sick kids’ in the whole world.
Cancer is a scary word, especially when it concerns children. When a child dies because medicine is powerless, it is an inevitable tragedy which we are compelled to accept. When a child dies because of financial shortage for the treatment, it is a moral catastrophe of a society that is capable of addressing it.
We understand that it is very hard to find such a great amount of money for the treatment of a child diagnosed with oncological disease. For most families it is impossible to cover treatment expenses, but if each of us makes the necessary effort, the whole situation can be changed.
It is impossible to be indifferent when Children are in great need of help.
According to the World Organization of Public Health Services, in developed countries, death rate for children with oncological diseases is the second highest following only the death rate for people in accidents. In developing countries, death rate of children with oncological diseases is the highest!
As a result of proper timely treatment 80% of children diagnosed with lymphoblastic leucosis, 90% with lymphogranulomatosis (Hodgkin's disease), and 90% with kidney tumor recover. More than 50% of children who have cancer can become full-fledged citizens of their country, if they receive timely and qualified help.
The right treatment, though very expensive, can result in the full recovery of a child. Today, there are hundreds of thousands of people around the world who have recovered from childhood cancer.
The Children’s Fund Administration is asking, with great hope and expectations, people of good will, as well as private organizations who are not indifferent to the fate of cancer-stricken children, to make a monetory donations and any other possible assistance.
All Contributions are Tax Deductible under IRS guideline 501 (c)(3)
